Well of Eternity, the Caverns of Time, ten thousand years in the past.

Well of Eternity Mythic+ guide for Warspring, the free Cataclysm 4.3.4 private server. Well of Eternity is one of the eight dungeons of Mythic+ Season 2, with a 18 minute timer and 3 fights to learn. Below you find the story of the dungeon, what every boss does and how to beat it, and everything that is special about running WoE on Warspring.

About Well of Eternity

Ten thousand years before the Horde and the Alliance, the Highborne night elves drew on the Well of Eternity, a fountain of raw arcane power. Their queen Azshara listened to the whispers of the Old Gods and let the Burning Legion through the Well. The dungeon follows the bronze dragons into that moment, from the palace gardens into the heart of the Highborne court.

It is the shortest boss list of the season, but each of the three fights asks something different of the group, and the palace trash is full of casters that punish a loose pull.

Well of Eternity on Warspring Mythic+ (Season 2)

  • Timer: 18 minutes. Beat it to time the key; a timed key upgrades your keystone and pays the full rewards, an untimed run pays less and depletes the key.
  • Affixes: Fortified (every pack of trash is tougher), Tyrannical (bosses have more health and hit harder) and Get Excited (kills give you haste and speed). The set is the same for every Season 2 key.
  • Key levels: keys start at +2 and go up to +60. Every level is a bigger step than in Season 1, and the rewards keep growing up to +45.
  • Entering: the Teleporter Stone has a Mythic menu that takes you straight into Well of Eternity on Heroic difficulty. Start the key at the entrance and the countdown begins.
  • Rewards: from key level +20 every Season 2 dungeon drops Dusktide Crests, the currency for the Level 15 to Level 20 Mythic+ gear upgrades at Zaphon (weapons) and Vorgash (armor and jewelry). Higher keys drop more crests, and the Legend (VIP 8) gems are bought with them as well.
  • Daily contract: Warden Veyra, standing next to Zaphon, gives one daily quest for every Season 2 dungeon. Complete Well of Eternity in time at +20 or higher and you receive five times the crests that key drops.
  • Leaderboards: your best timed run in Well of Eternity counts for your rating. See the Mythic+ leaderboards, the latest runs and the best runs.

Well of Eternity bosses and strategy

Peroth'arn

A hulking demon lord who sends out the mobs of the palace. Interrupt his casts, kill the fel adds before they surround the healer and keep the tank turned away from the group. His rage grows if the fight drags on, so keep the damage steady.

Queen Azshara

The Highborne queen fights through illusions and servants. Spot the real queen when the copies appear, stay out of the beams she aims and let the group stack on the guardians when she tries to isolate someone. Tyrannical makes this fight a test of cooldown timing.

Mannoroth

The last boss is the pit lord that opens the portal itself. Expect heavy tank hits, fel fire on the ground and waves of demons that arrive while you fight. Control the adds, move out of the fire and keep the healer free to save the tank.

Tips for a timed Well of Eternity key

  • Palace packs are caster heavy: interrupt rotations decide the pace of the whole key.
  • The timer is 18 minutes, so you can afford careful pulls but not a wipe on Azshara.
  • Fortified turns every pack into a short fight for the healer; Get Excited helps you recover the time.
